After my awesome birthday party, Austin and I were inspired to give more of our time and sweat. With this LA Works organization, they have continuous volunteering opportunities and some pretty great events. This time, it was the BIG ONE! About 1,000 people showed up to do an Extreme Makeover of an elementary school in LA. We completely revamped the school. Fun murals were painted on the buildings, planters were built and plants installed, and areas were dressed up all over the campus. It is absolutely amazing how much can be accomplished in one day when you get a large group of people together. We are looking forward to finding more opportunities to help out the community.
